Our Warranty Philosophy
We live here. We work here. Our kids go to school with your kids. When we say we stand behind our work, it's not a marketing line — it's a practical reality. If something goes wrong, you know where to find us.
Our approach to warranty is simple: if it's a defect in materials or workmanship, we fix it. No forms to fill out, no corporate phone trees, no waiting 6 weeks for a response from a franchise headquarters in another state. You call us, we come look at it, and we make it right.
This page lays out exactly what's covered, what's not, and how the process works for each service we offer. We believe in transparency — you should know exactly what you're getting before you sign anything.
Floor Coating Warranty
15-Year
Workmanship Warranty
Lifetime
Manufacturer Product Warranty
Transferable
Passes to New Homeowner
Every Canvas floor coating comes with two layers of warranty protection:
Canvas 15-Year Workmanship Warranty
Covers the installation itself — proper surface preparation, correct application, adhesion, and finish quality. If the coating peels, delaminates, or fails due to how we installed it, we come back and fix it at no cost. This warranty is backed by Canvas directly.
Penntek Lifetime Product Warranty
Covers the coating material itself — the polyurea, the flake, and the clear coat. Penntek warrants their products against manufacturing defects for the life of the coating. This warranty exists independently of Canvas and is backed by Penntek directly.
Together, these warranties mean your floor is protected from both installation issues and material defects. Most competitors offer only one or the other — and many offer warranties backed by a franchise headquarters you'll never be able to reach.
Cabinet Warranty
Limited Lifetime
Manufacturer warranty on cabinet structure, hardware, and powder-coat finish
5-Year
Canvas workmanship warranty on installation, mounting, and alignment
Custom garage cabinets are built to last the life of the home. The powder-coated steel construction doesn't rust, warp, or degrade in garage conditions. The manufacturer warranty covers structural integrity, drawer mechanisms, hinges, and the powder-coat finish against defects.
Our 5-year workmanship warranty covers the installation — proper wall mounting, level alignment, door adjustment, and drawer function. If a cabinet door doesn't close properly because of how we installed it, we come back and adjust it.
Walls & Ceilings Warranty
50-Year
Trusscore manufacturer warranty on PVC wall and ceiling panels
5-Year
Canvas workmanship warranty on panel installation
Trusscore PVC panels are engineered for demanding environments — agricultural buildings, commercial kitchens, car washes. A residential garage is an easy application for these panels. Trusscore backs their product with a 50-year warranty against manufacturing defects, yellowing, and structural failure.
Our workmanship warranty covers proper installation — panel alignment, trim finishing, and secure mounting. If a panel comes loose or a trim piece separates due to our installation, we fix it.
Canvas Detailing Guarantee
Detailing is different from our installation services — it's a service, not a product. We don't offer a multi-year warranty on detailing because the results depend on how the vehicle is used and maintained after service.
What we do guarantee:
Satisfaction guarantee
If you're not happy with the results when you pick up your vehicle, we'll address it on the spot. We don't consider a job done until you're satisfied.
Ceramic coating warranty
Professional ceramic coatings applied by Canvas Detailing carry a manufacturer warranty (typically 2–5 years depending on the product) against coating failure when maintained according to care instructions.
Arrival Care Plan coverage
Arrival Care Plan members receive ongoing maintenance that keeps their vehicle in peak condition year-round. The plan itself ensures consistent results through regular scheduled service.

What's Not Covered
Transparency means telling you what's excluded, not just what's included. These situations are not covered under warranty:
- ×Physical damage from impact: Dropping a heavy tool, dragging a sharp object, or driving over the coating with studded tires. These are repairable but not warranty issues.
- ×Chemical damage: Prolonged exposure to battery acid, brake fluid, or industrial solvents left on the surface without cleanup. Polyurea resists most chemicals, but extended exposure to aggressive solvents can cause damage.
- ×Structural concrete movement: If the concrete slab cracks due to settling, frost heave, or structural issues, the coating may crack with it. The coating is bonded to the concrete — if the concrete moves, the coating moves with it.
- ×Normal wear in high-traffic areas: Minor scuffing and dulling in areas where you walk or drive daily over many years. This is normal and expected — it's not a defect.
- ×Modifications by others: If another contractor drills through, cuts, or modifies our installation, the warranty for the affected area is voided.
- ×Hydrostatic pressure: In rare cases, moisture pushing up through the concrete slab from below can affect adhesion. We test for moisture during prep and disclose any concerns before installation.
